This year, the LA Auto Show transformed the entire Los Angeles Convention Center into one of the most comprehensive automotive environments in the country. With multiple global debuts, concept reveals, and brand activations, the 2025 show demonstrated how quickly the industry is evolving – both technically and strategically.

As an automotive marketing and analytics team, Torkvia attended to observe how automakers and emerging brands are positioning themselves, designing experiences, and building audience engagement through product and performance storytelling. Below are the models and activations that stood out most clearly from a brand, product, and market-direction perspective.

1. Scout Traveler (2027 Reveal)

The upcoming Scout Motors Inc. Traveler is one of the most strategically interesting launches in the off-road EV market. Scheduled for a 2027 reveal, it brings classic heritage into a modern platform with a true body-on-frame chassis, dual-motor 4×4, and an optional range extender – currently unique among off-road EVs. Scout retained several authentic design elements from the original 1970s models, resulting in a strong identity bridge between past and future.

2. Hyundai Ioniq 6 N

Hyundai Motor Company ’s performance EV lineup continues to expand with the Ioniq 6 N, delivering up to 650 hp in Boost mode and a 0–60 time near 3 seconds. With N-tuned brakes, suspension, and advanced cooling systems, it is engineered for track-capable driving rather than traditional commuter EV behavior. Hyundai also continues to invest in sensory-feedback features such as simulated gearshifts and sound design to uniquely position the N sub-brand in the performance EV space.

3. Genesis GV60 Magma

Genesis introduced the GV60 Magma as its first high-performance EV variant. Equipped with dual motors, an estimated 640–650 hp output, and a 0–60 in approximately 3.4 seconds, the model signals the brand’s intent to compete directly with performance divisions such as BMW M and Mercedes-AMG. The design integrates aerodynamic functionality and bolder visual cues, establishing the foundation for Genesis’ new Magma performance line.

4. Fast & Furious Display Cars

The Fast & Furious exhibit showcased several culturally significant performance cars, including a Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 V-Spec II, a Honda NSX, a Honda S2000, and additional models associated with the franchise. This display generated high engagement and reinforced how nostalgia-driven IP continues to influence automotive culture and fan interest

5. 2026 Dodge Charger (ICE + EV Versions)

The 2026 Stellantis Dodge Charger marks a major transition in Dodge’s performance strategy. The new ICE lineup features the 3.0L twin-turbo Hurricane inline-six, available as a 420 hp Standard Output and a 550 hp High Output sixpack option. Dodge is positioning the new generation as both more efficient and more powerful than the outgoing V8 models, while also preparing parallel EV versions for future performance evolution.

6. Rivian R2

Rivian ’s upcoming R2 brings the brand into a more accessible segment, targeting a starting price around $45,000 with a planned reveal in Spring 2026. With 300+ miles of range, fast-charging capability, and a modular interior, the R2 is positioned to serve as Rivian’s entry into mainstream adoption. Its design language continues to emphasize outdoor lifestyle and adventure-first branding, creating a distinct competitive stance against the Tesla Model Y.
